Volunteers Gather For Camp Curnock
Jan 18th, 2010 | By ecampaign | Category: News
The Curnock campaign welcomed 70 volunteers who came out to our Waco office Saturday, Jan. 16, for training at Camp Curnock. Volunteers came from all parts of District 17, and they came ready to learn and ready to make a difference as the March 2 primary approaches.
The training event was a key element in the Curnock campaign’s grassroots volunteer strategy. The Curnock campaign has more than 1,300 supporters and volunteers from all areas of District 17. Those who attended the training will help lead other volunteers in their area.
Volunteers attended classes to learn how to be effective in helping the campaign. Some learned about walking their neighborhoods, or working at a campaign office, or researching issues online. Others learned about fundraising, how to support the campaign through letters and online media, or helping with campaign signage.
“I really appreciate the commitment these volunteers are making to our campaign,” Curnock said. “Volunteers are our number one asset in this race, and I’m confident that with the support of so many across the district that 2010 is the year we elect a new representative who will bring real change to Congress.”
