Rob Curnock, Republican candidate for Congress in District 17, will celebrate the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo by walking in the parade, beginning at 6 pm Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, in downtown Waco.

Volunteers interested in participating should meet at 5 pm on the East side of the river on MLK Drive near the Waco Suspension Bridge. Riders and walkers are welcome; participants will need to complete a release form from the HOT Fair.

Curnock, the 2008 Republican candidate for Congress in District 17, came within a few percentage points of upsetting a longtime liberal Democrat congressman, who outspent the Republican by almost $2 million in the race. Curnock’s 2010 campaign is already well underway, buoyed by wide support from grassroots volunteers across the District.
