Rob Curnock, Republican candidate for Congress in District 17, will join the people of Central Texas to celebrate Lake Whitney Pioneer Days, from 9 am – 6 pm Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, in downtown Whitney.

The Curnock campaign will have a booth at the event and Rob and supporters will walk in the parade. Volunteers interested in participating should contact volunteer director Kim Kimble at volunteer@robcurnockforcongress.com.

Curnock, the 2008 Republican candidate for Congress in District 17, came within a few percentage points of upsetting a longtime liberal Democrat congressman, who outspent the Republican by almost $2 million in the race. Curnock’s 2010 campaign is already well underway, buoyed by wide support from grassroots volunteers across the District.
