Texas A&M Candidate Forum
Sep 21st, 2009 | By ecampaign | Category: EventsRob Curnock, Republican candidate for Congress in District 17, will speak with Texas A&M students at the District 17 Candidate Forum at 7 pm Monday, Sept. 28, at Rudder Theater on the Texas A&M campus.
The event is sponsored by the Texas A&M College Republicans.
“Meeting with conservative college students who are engaged in the political process is a great privilege,” Curnock said. “Texas A&M is one of the largest and most conservative universities anywhere. I am confident with the support of these young voters we can bring change to Central Texas, and send a true conservative to Congress as our representative.”
The Curnock campaign is committed to addressing college students at Texas A&M and Baylor, two very conservative college campuses located in District 17. Already, many students at both colleges are supporting Curnock through Facebook, Twitter, email and as grassroots volunteers.
Curnock, the 2008 Republican candidate for Congress in District 17, came within a few percentage points of upsetting a longtime liberal Democrat congressman, who outspent the Republican by almost $2 million in the race. Curnock’s 2010 campaign is already well underway, buoyed by wide support from grassroots volunteers across the District.
More information about the event, including directions, is available online at the Texas A&M College Republicans web site.
