Tea Party Express in Waco
Sep 2nd, 2009 | By ecampaign | Category: EventsRob Curnock, Republican candidate for Congress in District 17, will join thousands of Central Texans to welcome the Tea Party Express to Waco at 4 pm Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at Indian Springs Park in downtown Waco. The event is hosted by the Waco Tea Party.
“The tea party movement is sweeping the nation, and nowhere is it more active than right here in District 17,” Curnock said. “Regular citizens are standing up and telling Washington that we have had enough. It is an honor to join fellow Texans as part of the national movement on it’s way from coast to coast, culminating Sept. 12 in Washington D.C.”
Volunteers interested in helping work the Curnock Campaign’s table at the event should contact campaign@robcurnockforcongress.com.
Curnock, the 2008 Republican candidate for Congress in District 17, came within a few percentage points of upsetting a longtime liberal Democrat congressman, who outspent the Republican by almost $2 million in the race. Curnock’s 2010 campaign is already well underway, buoyed by wide support from grassroots volunteers across the District.
