Wrapping Up Work on Health Care Feedback
Sep 1st, 2009 | By ecampaign | Category: Health Care, NewsIt’s been a great past few weeks, meeting with Central Texans from all over the district to hear your concerns about health care legislation and other issues with Washington politics. Frankly, most of what we heard from you echoes our own concerns and ideas about the current health care debate and related issues with governmental control over private lives.
Thank you to everyone who came to a town hall meeting, forwarded an email, invited a friend to join us on Facebook, or helped in so many other ways.
We do want to give attention to each of your comments, and will be going through your written feedback, emails and video from the town hall meetings over the next week or so. We will create a summary of your views (which are ours as well) and thoughts on health care and will send it to Senators Cornyn and Hutchison as well as Rep. Edwards. We will make the summary available online from our web site and to media, and will contact neighboring Congressmen to send our feedback to them as well, to make sure someone is responsive to our thoughts.
As Congress returns to Washington later in September, we will be following the Health Care debate closely and will post news updates to our Health Care Action Center online.
There are plenty of other important issues in Congress today, and in September we will resume our regular news postings to keep you informed.
We will also ramp up our opportunities for volunteers in all 12 counties to get connected with the campaign and help reach your friends, neighbors, family and co-workers, to encourage them to join us as we work to send a true conservative to Congress from District 17!
