TOWN HALL MEETING SCHEDULE

The U.S. House is in recess until September, and frankly that’s the safest place for them to be. While at recess they can’t spend any more of our money, and they can’t complete their takeover of our health care system.

Before leaving, the House Committee on Energy and Commerce did approve H.R. 3200, the Obamacare bill, which will be a major issue the full House takes up when they return in September. It is critical that Central Texas voters stay engaged during this month when Congress isn’t making news. We should all contact our current congressman and our senators to make sure they know how we feel about the government taking over our health care.

Our campaign has had discussions with several area doctors and we will be continuing those discussions throughout the coming months. The core of our great health care system rests with the excellent work our doctors do in assessing our health needs and recommending solutions to patients. We must keep the relationship between doctors and patients in the forefront of any conversations about changes to our health care system.

While we have several good, concrete ideas about ways to improve access to health insurance and reduce costs, we know ours aren’t the only answers. So we want to hear from you as well. We have created a special email address to receive voter comments on the health care issue, and we will be reading every comment that comes in.

Send your ideas, comments, and concerns on health care to us at healthcare@robcurnockforcongress.com.

Your input will help us create proposals to send to other conservative congressmen for consideration in Washington. And after the 2010 elections, Rob will be prepared to take your ideas and proposals directly to the House floor as your representative.
